London, 1947. You're the night-shift wire operator at Scotland Yard. Detectives in the field send you coded messages. The Yard depends on you. Tap "Play Morse" to begin.
Pick a mode above. Trainer is recommended if you're new to Morse.
Morse is a way of sending messages using just short and long beeps. A short beep is a "dot." A long beep is a "dash." Each letter has its own pattern. E is a single dot. T is a single dash. S is three dots. O is three dashes. The famous SOS is dot-dot-dot, dash-dash-dash, dot-dot-dot.
Trainer Mode
You'll be taught the Morse alphabet one letter at a time. The narrator says the letter, you hear its Morse pattern, then you're tested with a small group of letters. You progress through the alphabet at your own pace.
Decode Mode
You hear a word in Morse code. You answer by speaking the word aloud — the page listens through your microphone. If voice isn't working for you, tap "Use Letters" and pick from the alphabet buttons instead.
Send Mode
You hear a word spoken. You have to send it back in Morse by tapping the big black pad. Quick tap = dot. Hold = dash. Pause between letters. The page shows the Morse you've typed and decodes it letter by letter. It's the hardest mode — try it after you've spent time in Trainer.
Speed
Easy speed plays Morse slowly with long gaps. Normal speed plays at a realistic operator pace. Start with Easy.
Repeat
Every challenge has a Repeat button. Tap to hear the Morse or the spoken word again — as many times as you like.
